Important Policy Changes/Legislation

City Council has passed legislation that allows your tenants to sue you in Housing Court on harassment charges.  Read the legislation by clicking on the Reference Library link to the left.

Income and Expense filing (RPIE) is due by September of each year.  Starting 2007, the city mandated that the filing be done on line.  Visit their website www.nyc.gov/finance or www.nyc.gov/rpieform (just click here to go to their website).    Find out if your building must file and/or access the RPIE forms.   In response to industry input, owners who file on line but make an error in the data are now able to file an amended form on line.  It's actually easier than before since the totals are automatically calculated, so there is less work for you to do.
