Membership Meetings
Our next membership meeting will be TUESDAY,
OCTOBER 13th FROM 5:30 TO 8:30 AT THE HOTEL PENNSYLVANIA,
SEVENTH AVENUE AND 33rd sTREET, MANHATTAN. hORS D'OEUVRES
aND SOFT DRINKS WILL BE SERVED.
TOPIC: MAXIMIZING INCOME AND IMPROVING
QUALITY OF LIFE THROUGH ON-SITE AMENITIES (VIRTUAL DOORMEN,
BUILDING SECURITY, ON SITE STORAGE). RENT
COLLECTIONS ARE AN IMPORTANT PART OF MAXIMIZING INCOME, AND
rOBERTA BERNSTEIN, PRESIDENT OF SPONY, WILL DISCUSS THE
"PROBLEM TENANT" AND HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM
THEIR MISCHIEF REGARDING RENT COLLECTION.
THE LAST MEETING WAS ABOUT INSURANCE -
-WE OFFERED INFORMATION ABOUT HEALTH INSURANCE PLANS, BUILDING INSURANCE,
WORKMAN'S COMPENSATION AND DISABILITY PLANS.
REPRESENTATIVES FROM DIFFERENT INSURANCE COMPANIES EXPLAINED
THE INSURANCE NECESSITIES THAT BUILDING OWNERS SHOULD HAVE.
THE MEETING BEFORE THAT WAS A LEGAL FORUM AND
INCLUDED HOW TO START PRO-SE ACTIONS AND SELECTING THE BEST
ATTORNEY FOR YOUR NEEDS.
Meetings are open to all current SPONY members (Membership status is
confirmed at check-in).
If you are not a member, you can join by doing the following:
1. Join at the door (dues are $60.00 per
year)
2. Check this website's home page for the application link, print and mail the
application.
3. Call the SPONY office at 212-410-4600 and we will mail you an application.
Meetings feature keynote speaker(s) followed by a question and answer period.
Meetings also offer SPONY members the latest updates on current issues facing
property owners and opportunities for networking with other members.
Coffee, tea, and "nibbles" are served at each meeting.
